| jbsassypants's Full Review: Lily of France® Convertible X-Bra 128-9452Q |
I needed a bra for a date night recently and found the X-Bra on sale at the mall. I paid just under $10. The regular price was just over $30, so I was happy to be able to try a new product at a significant discount.
This bra can be worn the standard way, with a strap on each side, strapless, cross-back (like an X), or with one strap across the near or opposite shoulder. The straps are easy to switch around - it just takes a few seconds. I find the straps stay in place very well no matter what configuration I use.
The bra is made of standard bra materials, and requires no special cleaning beyond that required for any other bra. I, for one, never put bras in the dryer, so I cannot say how much these bras might shrink after a run through the Whirlpool.
So what makes this bra so special? There is a slider adjustment in the center that allows the cups to be loosened or tightened. Of course, when tightened, one's breasts are pressed together to create cleavage. The adjustments are continuous along the slide, not preset settings like on the old Victoria's Secret "Click Bra", so you can adjust it to exactly the fit and look you want. Even on it's loosest setting the bra provides comfortable yet sexy support. At it's tightest setting, your rack is squeezed up and together for a very dramatic, attention-getting look. If you don't get noticed in this bra you might want to look at the rest of your package to see what's scaring people away.
The bra looks smooth under all but the tightest fitting tops. With tight tops, the cups look smooth, but the overall outline of the bra is visible. It has sufficient padding to hide THO's (tittie hard-ons). I tend to poke through all of my tops with built in bras, and even some lightly padded bras. I'm happy to report I don't have that problem with this bra, no matter how cold it is or how turned on I am.
I should have bought 2 or 3 of these when they were on sale. I have found sales to be offered regularly, sometimes with a buy 2 get 1 free in the mail. I've yet to jump at the mail-order offer, but probably will eventually.
Perhaps the only drawback to this bra is...I find when I wear it men (and some women) rarely talk to me while looking me in the eyes. I suppose, however, that is proof it's doing it's job.
