Pros: Monthly cost (only after a heated discussion with a customer service rep).
Cons: Automatic renewal of contract. Customer service is extremely bad. Poor communication service.
The Bottom Line: I don't recommend this company. The aggravation of dealing with them is not worth it.

I just got off the phone with their so called customer service. Once again, I am so angry that it is absolutely unbelievable. I have yet to call and get a logical answer to any question. I am going into my 3rd year with this company only because I don't want to give them $200.00 to let me out of the contract. My phone was stolen and I am trying to replace it. I called customer service and was told that there were 5 phones available that could be shipped to me ------ requires a one or two year contract. With a one year contract, $50.00 would be deducted from the cost of the phone. I decided to go on-line to look at the features of the phones. Then found that the phone prices I was quoted ranged from $21 to $79 higher than their listed retail price. I was trying to get reasonable answer to the difference in price. But....no such luck! Vague suggestions that new customers were entitled to those prices because they had to pay other costs for setting up a new service. I feel, and stated, that retail price is retail price and it should be the same across the board. The discount for a 2 year contract was already stated. Of course, they don't care how long you have been a customer........they will get $200 if you decide that you don't want to take it anymore. Going to the store is out of the question....customer service is the same. (Which I had done 3 days ago). Difference is.....someone is talking down to you ... and you just want to choke them! Not even my worst enemy would get a recommendation to use this company. AND, before I forget it, their service is lousy too. I have encountered problems with making calls if I am in a building and some calls won't go through 2 miles from my house. SunCom is a racket. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with them.
