The Bottom Line So many different products out there, it can get confusing. Just remember each person is different. Maybe your skin requires just one or maybe both like me.
Wow, this was really a surprise when I was checking around in the products that were used for health and beauty. I really used to love some of the MaryKay lotions and gels until I found Victoria's Secret. Choosing between a lotion or a moisturizer really does depend on the person and the season. I tend to put both on. I use a simple basic moisturizer mixed in with my favorite smell of the lotion that I pick for the day. I remember I used to walk by Victoria's Secret and think wow, only the rich can ever shop in this shop. I have no idea where I ever got that idea either. Then my girls became teen's, and then young ladies, and then I finally started to have time for myself, so I started checking into all the things that make you smell so nice. My nose is pretty picky too, can't hack that strong stuff. I can sit behind somebody in church wearing strong scents and get a headache and sick to my stomach so I'm pretty picky. I don't know why it took me so long to start buying this stuff except to say that raising 4 children close in ages you didn't have time to think or even cared how you looked or smelled. Just that quick bath, that's all you had time for. Now, it's give me the candle's and the whole works. Finally I have time to think about things that I like, and it helps having 3 older daughters too because we all get caught up in the same stuff. Victoria Secrets have many different lotions, shower gels, and sprays, that have the most beautiful smells to them. Now, my girls always get something from here for Christmas. Probably our favorite is the pear smell, and we have it in the shower gel, lotions and sprays. They have a deal where you can go in and mix and match the different products and smells for 5 for $30.00. and I think that's a really great deal. They also have a smell called sweet crush that the girls and I like too. We probably use the lotions more because it seems to stay with you longer but not in a strong way. The lotions they have aren't greasy either. Victoria Secrets also has different ways that they can package up the lotions and the sprays and gels so this is a great place to go for gifts. At the same time that I got into finding all these wonderful smells, I also got into candles and different things to make your home smell great. Victoria's Secret has a long-lasting Home fragrance gelee that is just wonderful. Mine lasted for over 6 months and they come in the same smells as the lotions, gels and sprays. You can actually walk around in our my girls rooms and you don't know if the smell is coming from them or their rooms because they are really hooked on the pear smell. Stop in and check it out. Even their new scents that are more expensive are just great. I love this store just for all the wonderful scents that they carry.  |
