Pros: good size, good starter
Cons: Need to update with a connection faster than dial-up, FM doesn't work
The Bottom Line: Good started, but I don't suggest getting it if you plan to update often and have dial-up

| kpsport's Full Review: Sonic Blue Rio S35 128MB MP3 Player |
I bought myself a Rio S35S for Christmas as my first MP3 player. Overall I was very happy, it was relatively inexpensive with all the perks I wanted. 6 months after purchasing it, all of a sudden it stopped working. The computer no longer recognized that the MP3 player was plugged in.
My first call to technical service resulted in them suggesting that I download new software. On my dial up connection that ended up being a two hour long download. When I tried to install the new software it asked for a password. So I had to call two days later(they are closed on weekends). Come to find out that if you have dial-up it won't download all of the software (I only got 15 of 20 MB). The only solution they could then provide me was to find another computer with a faster connection, download it there, and transfer it to my computer. I told them this was not an option, and they offered no other solution. After more calls, and many hours on the phone, I finally reached a manager in customer service who simply had me plug the player into a different USB port and re-install the software. The manager had no explanation as to why no one had suggested this earlier. The player does work now, but after many frustrating hours.
