Nice Gameplay, Not Much Depth

Pros: Beautiful graphics, fun game play. Fun for playing in a group.

Cons: Awkward game mechanics. Needs multiple players w/ GBAs for best experience. Poor story-telling.

The animation is very nice. Beautiful renderings for environment, nice character designs. The music is okay. I like the voice-overs, although their tone would appeal more to kids than adults. I find the game mechanics a bit awkward. I don't like scrolling through a list of actions; I wish there were shortcuts so I can react better to the real-time action. The writing for the background/history is a little weak, making the game appear lacking in depth. This is a great game for children or young adults, but more audiences may find the game a bit shallow compared to other RPGs on different gaming platforms.

I have a hard time getting into this game, after experiencing Grandia II for the Dreamcast and many of the Blizzard RTS games.
