This review doesn't really tell me anything about DVD players. It seems to be more about your thriftiness and your relationship with your boyfriend. Nothing wrong with that, but I can't rate it helpful. Sorry.

Lyn... beware of generalizations. Browse through the member ratings sections and you will find that MANY cheap brands don't hold up well. The may run hot, skip, or simply stop working. Considering the COST of media, is it REALLY important to save $30 by buying an unknown brand because it is the cheapest?
But, maybe you got lucky. I hope you did.
