The Bottom Line Anything by Stephen King Anything that makes you cry from breaking your heart or breaking your mind

The above directions are directing me to be brief but is that possible when you combine my batty-mind with movies?

I will do my best....(adding to this because even though they are classics apparently there are still some who did not see them)

1. Gone With The Wind - A movie derived from Margaret Mitchells book about one family's struggle with the downfall of the south, during the cival war. The movie focusing on the life of a spoiled debutant and the man who tried to tame her. Funny thing is when she finally realizes her love for him he frankly doesnt give a damn.
The hopeless romantic in me would have to say that this movie is my all-time favorite not only because of its classical and historical status but also because my life sadly mimics it. (funny but sad huh?)

2. Silence Of The Lambs - My lambs are still screaming I guess. This is the story of Clarice Starling a Federal agent who is trying to solve the case of a serial killer by getting assistance from the cannibalistic Hannibal Lectur. It is one of the best psychologically films of our times.

3.My Fair Lady - A self-praising professor and his peer place a bet on whether the Professor Higgins can turn the raw, dirty, rugged Eliza Doolittle into the belle of the ball.
Katherine Hepburn's portrayal of this modern-day cinderella story of her time was exquisite. (I could have done without some of the songs in my head though)

3. Seven- Twisted minds can sometimes scare us into seeing deeper aspects of our personalities that may need some serious analysis.
This psychological thriller has Brad Pitt trying to help solve the case of a serial killer whose kills are based upon the seven deadly sins. It is rivoting and the plot is quite interesting. Brad Pitt was very enjoyable to the eyes as well as to the peformance of his character.
Interesting death scenes but very graphic and disturbing.

4. Terms Of Endearment- A movie about a single mother played but Shirley Mcclaine raising her daughter Emma played by Debra Winger, and watching her marry a man she absolutely despised.
The core of this film is its touch on how we dont always get what we want or what we want for our kids and death can come take it all away all in an instance.
So whether you approve or not of a family members life, at least love them while they are here.....
Lifes too short.
I could recite every line to this movie. I guess we like movies which have a bit of ourselves in them. Much along the line of Flap saying "who am I if I am not the man who is failing Emma" ...Other stories similar to my life. Perhaps I need to just watch happy movies. This one can make me still bawl like a baby.
Jack being in this film doesn't hurt either.

5. The Green-Mile - See my review. Excellant film

6. Star Wars- If you do not know what this film is about please go directly to the Blockbuster Store nearest you and tell them to smack you and then rent the video.

Come to the Dark Side. Darth was absolutely the sexiest character in any Lucas Film..well excluding the Episode One film

7. Officer And A Gentleman- Richard Gere in uniform...enough said.
Ok apparently there wasn't enough said..
A film about naval recruits going through basic training in hopes to become pilots. This movie touches on the realities of father/son conflicts as well as conflicts of our owns inner turmoil....some of us make it and some of us do not.

8. The Matrix- Possible one of the most enthralling films which has some many different levels of symbolism and the mixture of Keeanu Reeves and Excellant effects left me awaiting 2 and 3

9. One Flew Over The Cukoos Nest- This film takes place in an insane asylum and shows how even the sanest of us can be seen as insane in the right situation and vice versa
What is crazy?

Jack Nicholsen, Need more even be said? If you haven't seen this, whats wrong with you?

10. The Breakfast Club- Have to give credit to a movie that not only is worthy of me watching a hundred billion times in my youth but also that I remember every word of it. It portrays different elements within all of us so nicely and its a little less serious than some of my other picks.
It is a film based in the setting of a saturday detention. The characters range from the jock, the princess, the nerd, the criminal, the insane.....each and everyone of us all balled up into a brat pack starred film
All we are missing is Rob Lowe and Demi Moore.

Ive come to find that a top ten list is not enough for someone like me....
I have come to realize that this is probably wrong because Forrest Gump isnt on there and neither is Ghost..
Oh Ill shutup now..so much for being brief
This list will probably change as my brain does...or doesnt

Have a peachy kinda day
