The Bottom Line WAZZZZZZUP? Umm, This is a short list of good Love/Breakup songs that I like and hopefully you will too! Comment On This Epinion Now...That's Right, You Reading This! NOW!
Recently I (Yes, I, Aaron, the Ladies Man) have gotten dumped. Sad but true, but I'm open now! Who wants me?! And an awkward silence fills the room as women flee Well, anyway. I have a CD burner and thanks to my massive CD collection I put together the best mix possible to help me through the situation. Frankly, I am very pleased with it and I hope you will be too. First off, you have to know that I love rock. I have always liked Rock music and it's rare that I will include old songs, so please.I'M USING CURRENT ROCK/POP SONGS, SO PLEASE, UNDERSTAND! Please be understanding of these songs. They all have some kind of influence on Break ups/Love whether it is apparent of not. Some songs may seem out of place but they have all helped me through situations and I just want to help you find some good songs. Eye Conqueror - Third Eye Blind "Oceans Of Love, I Crossed Them For You, In The Matrix Of Your Garden, I Find you In Bloom, The Only Thing I Bleed For Is You" A song about being finding love which I have been doing after my break up. It's a rather new song but it says so much for me. It has some other meaning I believe. Stephan Jenkins wrote a beautiful song with some sensational lyrics and I'm very impressed. Trying - Lifehouse "Could you lie down your head for a while? Just a little while, to see if you human after all." A song about a girl who is confused in his relationship. He doesn't know all the things to say and is unsure of what to do but is promising he will be good. The song is in narration form from the singer, Jason Wade. He's just getting into dating and is finally learning how to be good to his girlfriend. It's a good song for guys who don't understand it. Supreme - Robbie Williams "Come and live a love supreme Don't let it get you down Everybody lives for love" :) Umm....It's a song about shagging in laymen's terms. Basically it's a song about Robbie telling us that we should get off our butts and finding a partner. It's actually beautifully sung and well orchestrated with the Rocky theme to support it. The lyrics are a bit confusing but in the end it's all the same. We're trying to find a Supreme Love and it can be easy. Please Forgive Me - David Gray "Please For Give Me If I Act A Little Strange, For I Know Not What I Do, Feels Like Lightning Running Through My Veins Everytime I Look At You" Have you ever had that feeling where you saw someone and your heart jumped? Well, that's what this song is about. Whenever he sees this girl, he can't contain himself but at the same time is too shy to talk to the girl. David Gray has the subtle way of leading into a song in an entrancing way and putting the lyrics at such a right time we don't even notice it because of the nice strings and rums he has accompanied with his music. Leave - Matchbox 20/Twenty "I'm not saying there wasn't nothing wrong I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me I'm not saying we ever had the right to hold on I just didn't wanna let it get away from me. If That's How It's Gonna Stand When You Leave The one You've Been Dependent On, You're The One You're Leaving Out" A song about a man whose girlfriend had just dumped him and he can't believe it. He mourns for a while and then gets some courage and says that it's her who has made the mistake and not him. She's losing out on him, he's not losing her. It's more of a pick-me-up song. Rob Thomas wrote a great song but I liked how he had his other band members tune in every once and a while to sing backup. It doesn't happen much but when it does it's nice. One Step Closer - Linkin Park "Everything you say to me gets me one step closer to the edge, and I'm about to break" A short song but to me it says a lot. It may seem like a bad song for love but not for breakups. Cause when you break up you know how you are, you want to hit things and that's exactly what this song is about. Venting helps and after break ups this song would help me so why don't you give it a try? Be cautious, it is a very hard rock song but it's catchy. It may not click with everyone. If You Miss Me - Trip Shakespeare "If You Miss Me, I Would Want To Cry" The basic "I Miss You", Get it? good. It's sung by Matt Wilson, brother of Semisonic's Dan Wilson. The lyrics are o.k. but the movement and expression of how the song goes is just great. Learning How To Smile - Everclear "Baby, someday we'll run away" This is a song about a couple who, even though they have gone through some very hard times, will one day run away together. It's a good song about commitment and overcoming odds. Art Alexakis very seldom has bad songs and this isn't one of them. He has a gift for writing about experiences and this one stands out for me. Overall, a great song. Dammit - Blink 182 "It's alright / to tell me / what you think / about me I won't try / to argue / or hold it / against you I know that / you're leaving / you must have / your reasons The season / is calling / and your pictures / are falling down The steps that / I retrace / the sad look / on your face The timing / and structure / did you hear / he ****** her? A day late / a buck short / I'm writing / the report On losing / and failing / when I move / I'm flailing now And it's happened once again I'll turn to a friend Someone that understands Sees through the master plan But everybody's gone And I've been here for too long To face this on my own Well I guess this is growing up Well I guess this is growing up And maybe / I'll see you / at a movie / sneak preview You'll show up / and walk by / on the arm / of that guy And I'll smile / and you'll wave / we'll pretend / it's okay The charade / it won't last / when he's gone / I won't come back And it'll happen once again You'll turn to a friend Someone that understands And sees through the master plan But everybody's gone And you've been there for too long To face this on your own Well I guess this is growing up" I had to put all the lyrics because I believe that this is possibly the best break up song ever written. Mark, Tom, and Travis may seem like they're young and juvenile most of the time but they do know how to talk to teens about stuff. I know that this songs has guided me through some hard times. It's a song with a good message and it makes perfect sense without being too abstract. The song is fast, furious and it without a doubt an anthem for teens and college kids for years to come. Whoa, what a long journey from the top of the page. Well, I hope you enjoyed my review! ~Kenshin-Guy |
