There's a new bug in town & it's making the big cell phone companies rethink their calling plans. Cricket phone Co. is beginning to cause problems for the big companies because of their calling plans. Finally people no longer have to watch every second they are on the cell phone. Even when you do this your old cell phone bill was full of surprises. Bills almost high enough to make you have to sell your first born child to pay the bill. Really, those plans of 1000 mins...but only 200 of them are in the day time when you really use the phone. How often do people make phone calls in the middle of the night (maybe vampires)?? Results...very high cell phone bills.
Now along comes Cricket. Unlimited calls day or night. With a base price of $29.99 (in Oklahoma), with small extra charges for call waiting, caller ID, etc. Your cell phone bill is always the same. Freedom at last, you don't have to watch the clock. The phone they sell you is a pretty good phone. My husband hasn't broken his yet & he's hard on everything he owns. The reception is good. There's only one problem...coverage area is kind of small...and no long distance. However there is an up side to this. Cricket is building up the area connections as fast as they can. So the coverage areas will grow larger in time. All in all the cricket phone is a very good option if you don't need to make a lot of long distance calls from your cell phone. It's great for keeping in touch with spouses, kids, family, or in an emergency. I like Cricket so much my whole family now has one, even the kids.
