I've stayed at this hotel several times and the bar does rotate 10 minutes faster than the restaurant, making the full rotation in 30 minutes.

The restaurant does have a revolving platform on which most tables are located.
Does the revolving thing ever make you slightly queasy while eating? Especially if you order that unfortunate lumpish gray steak - ewwww.
Great review, but I think I may look elsewhere if I'm ever in Atlanta!

before he quit to go work for a company that does conventions. Listening to him talk about it, I'm surprised the staff is as friendly as you say. It was not a pleasant experience for him, though he did work there for many years. Such is life, I guess.

I've only been to the Peachtree Plaza as a 12 year old for a friend's Birthday lunch and again as a teen for a New Year's (or was it Christmas? ... geez, how the years blurr the memory ...) party. Based on those long-ago visits the Peachtree Plaza seemed so grand and impressive. I wonder how it would seem to be now?
Enjoyed the review ... hope the hotel didn't taint your impression of Atlanta.

To actually reach the pool, you have to go up another set of stairs to the indoor pool.
So I guess that means if I was in a wheelchair I would have to crawl to the pool. Pooh.
