Re: My Pacs don't always dissolve( (( (((Warning!))) )) ) (Reply to this comment)

I found a serious problem with this product, I been using it for over a year,,,I buy the 90 pack from Costco(used about 3 packs so far), its a great product with a hidden secret that can destroy your dishwasher, I discovered lately that my dishwasher is not cleaning as good as it used to be, so I decided to check things out and clean anything that may be obstructing the cleaning process, I noticed clear deposits on different parts of the dishwasher drainage and spraying area, I was able to peal away these thick deposits with my fingers, I decided to unassembled the rotating sprayer and its components, I found out there is a screen filter that was about %10 clogged with a white/clear deposit that was difficult to peal off since its held by the mesh very well, all these deposits are from the "Cascade 2 in 1 Action Pacs" that did not melt away and wouldn't melt away! if Cascade does not improve this product, they will need to start replacing dishwasher for their customers...

My Pacs don't always dissolve (Reply to this comment)

Hi,
Has anyone had a problem with the Cascade Pacs that they don't dissolve in your dishwasher? They worked fine for about a month and then they stopped dissolving in our Jenn-Air dishwasher (only 8 months old). We tried to run it twice and both times at the end of the cycle we found the pac at the bottom of the dishwasher undissolved. We tried a regular liquid and the dishwasher worked fine. We store the Pacs under our sink? Could that be the problem?
Thanks!

Excellent review! I found out Consumer Reports gave Cascade 2 in 1 their top rating in their latest reviews of dishwasher detergents. I used to use Cascade Complete Powder and the surprisingly effective bargain priced Wal-Mart Automatic Dishwasher Detergent powder. Both of these did very good to excellent jobs however, as the boxes hung around under my sink cleaning quality declined slightly with age. And, more likely to leave specs on glasses and other items in my upper rack.
The 2 in 1 action tabs look like little pillows and are unique looking as you said. Keep these out of the hands of kids and the paws of your pets. I bought a large size reusable plastic bucket of this product at either Sam's Club or BJs Wholesale club. 70 some tabs for $11.00 and change. Not bad at all.
What impresses me, is the fact that these little pillows/tabs had no trouble getting all my dishes clean in my basic machine! A lower end GE dishwasher. "Apartment/builder model." a euphemism for a cheaper less equipped model. The GE dishwasher has what I describe as a one level washing system that includes a spray tower. More expensive dishwashers have at least 2 wash levels (wash arms) below each rack. With a lower end dishwasher care must be taken in how you load the machine. These 2 in 1 action tabs make my dishwasher perform like a more expensive feature laden machine! Great review and I appreciated the humor and descriptive prose.
