My wife ordered from Music123 in order to buy me a surprise guitar that she knew I had been wanting. We both ended up being surprised when I opened the box and it was the WRONG ONE. The customer service was nice (at first) in corrrecting this mistake and got the correct guitar overnighted to us, but it doesn't end there.
They received the incorrect guitar back from us and issued us a store credit. This was not right because we should have only been charged for the 1 guitar that we wanted which we now had... we have no need for a store credit (not to mention a SECOND CHARGE on our credit card in the same amount as their store credit). So we called again and got a lying sales rep who said to call back in 1 hour so she could straighten everything out for us. Well I called back and discovered that she never made any notes on the account at all so I had to go back through the whole story again with another service rep. She told me that the store credit was taken out and the charge on the credit card was also corrected. Again, it doesn't end there...
The VERY next day we get an email telling us that our guitar is to arrive via fedex. Problem is we already have our guitar!!! So we call customer service yet again and this time we got the same girl that lied to us before so we know better than to talk to her (pretty sad that we know all the customer service reps there now). She said to refuse the guitar and when it ships back to them and they process it then any other charges on our card will come off. WHAT??? you mean that they can just send out a guitar in error and charge me for it? I don't think so!! So I called my credit card company fraud department and told them the story and they have placed a permanent block on my account against this vendor.
As I write this, I am waiting to call Music123 in 2 hours when, supposedly, a manager comes in so that I can discuss all of these events with him/her and tell him what I think of his company.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this merchant. While I do have the guitar I wanted and it is in excellent shape, all the other hassles could have been avoided by going with a more respectable place.
