Very bad feedback about order status, rude on the phone.

I ordered more than $6000 worth of appliances from AJ Madison (A refrigerator, double wall oven, washing machine and dryer). I placed the order on the 5th. Their website said that the order would ship within 48 hours or they would contact me. A few days later I called them to check on the status of my order (the website still said "pending"). They told me the order was pending and that I should call back in a couple of days. I called back a few days later and left a message. No one ever called me back. I called again around the 12th. They finally called me back on the 15th and told me that the order was in stock and would ship on friday. I went away for the weekend and got back on the 21st and left a message inquiring about the shipping status. They called me back and told me the refrigerator was back ordered and wouldn't be in until The end of the month. I told them that I wanted to cancel my order, the argued with me and told me it wasn't their fault (they said it was a new refrigerator and they didn't have them in yet). He said I should have gotten an email (I never did). I told him that I had left multiple messages and hadn't gotten return calls and what would happen if one of the appliances arrived damaged. He argued a little more and then decided I wasn't going to change my mind and just hung up on me. This seemed a little unprofessional. I'm going to pay a bit extra to have a polite professional local salesperson. It seems worth it.
Addendum:
The day after I posted my review, I was contacted by someone from AJ Madison (who had obviously heard about the review). He offered to discount my purchase (pretty generously) and urged me to retract my review. I don't believe I should retract the review because it isn't clear to me that they have changed their ways and I am obviously not the only person to have a bad experience with them. It's hard for me to tell if they were trying to make things right because I was treated badly or just to get me to remove the review. I decided that to be honest I should post that they did try to make things right with me although I had already decided to get the appliances locally. They were quite upset about the unfavorable review.
