I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on business. I was upgraded to what they called a junior suite. The room was quite spacious, had a coffee table, couch and chairs. The room was clean. However, the bathroom lacked true cleanliness. It looked like the maid just did a once over wipe down.

My junior suite lacked a mini-bar/refrigerator. When I called to inquire with the front desk, I was advised that none of the rooms have this option. I asked if they could get me one and I was told yes, for the price of $8.00 a day. It was delivered 2 hours later.

The TV in the room might have been the smallest TV that I have ever seen in a hotel - definitely not what I expected for this caliber of hotel or the upgrade. It made me wonder about the other rooms.

The hotel has some construction going on while I was there - be careful, the map on the ground floor does not accurately assist you on locating places.

The gist shop was small and pretty standard. If you go up to the 2nd floor and go through a few hallways, it will take you to a little convenience store with many snacks and drinks.

I ordered room service once for dinner and twice for breakfast. The dinner was not good - the plainest caesar salad that I have ever had and the fried walleye was very fishy. However, both breakfasts (blueberry pancakes and a bagel and cream cheese) were good. The menu lacked many options even though the hotel has a restaurant and a separate bar establishment.

I did not get a chance to look into the pool. I peaked into the workout facilities and it seemed fairly average with the standard machines.

Overall, my experience was fairly good - check-in and out were very prompt. I paid only $179.00 per night. Service was pretty good too. My room was really quiet but I did request away from the elevator and ice maker. The hotel could be an excellent hotel, but still has some kinks to work out.
