| ruf1's Full Review: Dish Network 4722 System |
Dish Network is a great company to work with. Their customer service is very accomadating and easy to deal with. The system itself is no trouble. I've lost reception twice - the first time, 10 min later my electricity went out, so that tells you how bad the storm was. The second time, the storm wasn't quite that bad but still bad enough. Each time, however, I got reception back within minutes. If there is some sort of problem, you can always attempt to fix it yourself with the built-in satellite signal receiver option to change which satellite to receive the reception from.
The cable company here charges very high prices for not even half the channels I get with DN. The selection with DN is good, although I could do with a few less shopping channels. :) The price is about right. I pay $53 and I get 180 channels plus my local area channels. There are 3 different packages for the main channels - 60, 120, and 180 and then you can add on to them with a Showtime package, a sports package, or HBO package - most areas also have a local channel package that can be added. Each for around $12 more a month.
