| swe3tnsour820's Full Review: Samsung SGH-X426 |
A few weeks ago I felt that I had to upgrade my old phone, a big, chunky old Nokia 3360. I had that for 2 years, and 2 years ago I thought i was so cool for having a phone. Well, we all know that it is impossible to keep up with technology and all my friends had these cute new little phones. I was so jealous of them! I wanted a small, compact phone. It didn't need to be a camera phone, though i think that is so neat, just something that looks sleek.
I've been tied to AT&T for 2 years and I looked for upgrading my phone on its website. It required a 2 year extension on the GSM plan. I was a little to hasty seeing that i got the phone for $50 when i could have gotten others for free. I didn't read the plan carefully either because my current plan had 250 anytime minutes plus 3000 night and weekend minutes. But this one I found out had no night and weekend minutes. I felt like crying because I felt so cheated. And realizing that the cancelation fee was $175, I was stuck with a cool new phone but a horrible plan.
It gets so much worse. The phone looked like most of my other friend's cute little Samsung phones, and I looked at the dimension sizes and it was so light and compact. So I immediately ordered it online. When i got it by Fedex, it ripped open the box and pulled out the phone. I compared it to my old phone and i was tiny compared to that. But i noticed that it didn't have a window on the cover where numbers are displayed. I was dissapointed because being the lazy person that i am, i had to open it to find out who is calling. Well, there was barely any reception either, but i think that is AT&T's fault. It keeps changing from displaying "AT&T" and "Cingular" also. There's not many ways to personilize the phone such as personal messages on the screen or such. I'm a teenager and i like my phone to reflect me. My dad almost killed me when he found out I was stuck with this plan until i graduated. Note to self, go to an authorized dealer next time, that's what they're there for.
