Re: Wi-Fi Misery...... (Reply to this comment)
by lyagushka
Hi Tom. I've only had access to wifi in three hotels I've stayed at, and in two of them, establishing a connection was difficult if not impossible. Only the SF Marriott seemed to have it totally figured out.
And yeah, the guest of the day thing is probably just good business sense. The goodie bag probably cost them less than $5, and so long as they had a better room to upgrade someone to, they weren't losing any money. Good PR, I suppose.
cheers,
Kate

Wi-Fi Misery...... (Reply to this comment)

We have a wi-fi service in our hotel which baffles the management as well as the guests. We are forever having problems with it. That "Guest of the Day" thing sounds interesting. Tom Barnes

Yup, it was a pretty nice little bonus. I was just so happy for my mom, who made the reservation in her name. She said she'd never won anything at all, and was so pleased I almost felt sorry for her. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, Darla.
best,
Kate

But I have to admit, if something like this happened to me, that would probably become our favorite place to go!
Congrats to you & your mom for "winning"
