I did not have a good experience here. The add is deceptive
I ordered a toshiba notebook after comparing prices. I was told the product was a factory sealed box and carried a standard full warranty. I ordered a extended life battery. The unit standard specs provided for a 6 cell battery and a 12 cell was available. I ordered a extended life battery( 12 cell) and paid a extra 200 for this battery which is the price from the toshiba accessory catalog. The unit came sealed with a standard
6 cell battery and standard ac plug and " brick" I was then told that the extra $200 that I paid was for a standard battery and the standard toshiba warranty. I was charged $200 for nothing over the standard boxed unit. I was told if that I did not order the " starter kit" the unit would have come with a " 20 minute" battery and no warranty. I have purchased toshiba note books for 14 years this is my 4 th and none came with anything other than the standard battery in the product specifications and all come with the ac adaptor and brick which both powers and charges the unit. My attempts to get a 200 refund/ credit from the mechant for purchasing nothing were futile. When ordering I was told the shipping was
going to be $69 ( per website) and was going to be shipped groung to arrive in 7 days When I called to follow up 5 days later since no email confirmation was received ( most other web sellers do so) I was told the shipment was not made( allegedly due to my credit card issuer not having a alternate shipping address on file- a fact not brought to my attention and that the shipment would arrive on Monday as promised. I was not told that I would be charged for 2nd day air to get to me on time.
