The Bottom Line If you like repetition and not-so-original quality, go somewhere else. But if you prefer the absolute best there is, follow the Gold Crown.

If you're like me (I don't really mean to sound like an infomercial right from the start, but I thought it would be better to let you know why I think I am a qualified to review the site), I get tons of e-cards every week. Which means that I not only know what good ones look like, but I am also quite experienced in knowing what a good e-card site should have, seeing as how I prefer to create and send my own original card as a thank you for the one I received.
As many would agree, the site is quite simple to use and there is little to no trouble as far as navigation is concerned. While I have come across several sites who do offer more graphics and cover a more extensive listing of the offbeat holidays, Hallmark holds true to its Gold Crown reputation by providing superior images and appropriate sound clips.
Service wise, this site is hands-down superior to the competition. With such features as a personal address book and scheduled deliveries, you won't have to spend any extra time repeating the same steps time and again (finally, a site with some common sense added in).
The scheduled delivery option is probably the nicest feature on the site, since it allows so much flexibility for the creator of the cards. Instead of trying to fit time into your schedule to make a card for someone the day before or of the event, you can do so up to a year in advance.
Though there seems to be so much positive hype about this site, no online business, or any business for that matter, goes without its own set of problems. For Hallmark eCards, their biggest weakness would have to be the slow loading times. Once you are done selecting the images and inserting your message, it can often take several minutes for the card to be put together. I have also encountered several instances where the card was sent several days late or unviewable by the recipient. These may just all be occasional technical errors, but Hallmark should really work to minimize such occurrences.
Like I said, I am an avid e-card sender, so I know my stuff. And if you ask me which one I prefer, I would tell you to just look for that seal and rely of the name of Hallmark, because it doesn't get much better.
