The Bottom Line These results are the same as those on Goto.com. If you want quality results and better relevancy, use Google.com or DMOZ.org.

Go.com was initially founded by Disney, to be their entry in the competitive Internet portal marketplace. In response to diminished market conditions, Disney decided to basically pull the plug on Go.com and maintain it only to fully capitalize on existing traffic. You can read about Disney's strategy at:

The company that Go.com partnered with (Goto.com) to provide search results is the Internet's leading pay-per-click search engine. They auction off their results to the highest bidder and provide only minimal screening for relevancy. Consequently, the quality of results on the "new" GO.com is significantly poorer than those that were on the old site. However, the additional revenue generated by this search technique will allow Go.com to continue to exist (though with minimal staffing) and provide a portal to Disney's other web content.
Since GO.com now uses the same search results as Goto.com, you may as well go to goto, no pun intended :-). If you are looking for higher quality results, you will be better served with Google.com or DMOZ.org, which offer better results.
