When I first saw the hard core body builders using Swiss Balls years ago I had to snicker; these manly men with muscle on top of muscle prancing into the gym carrying these huge purple balls – it was a comical site to say the least. That all changed when one of them shot me an evil look and asked me what the hell I was laughing about. He told me to try using one for sit ups and curls – that if I tried it out I’d get hooked on it and never enter the gym without one. That was a pretty bold statement so I took him up on it; shortly thereafter I was eating my words and shopping around for a ball of my own. When I first started looking for one I found that there were so many different makes, models and manufacturers that I needed to really sit down and read about them to make the best choice. I eventually decided to go with the best on the market – the Sissel Swiss Ball Pro; even then I still had to make a choice in regards to color and size.
My first Swiss Ball was purchased through another site and when I needed to buy a few more in various sizes I decided to shop through the Sissel Online Store instead. The prices were lower and I knew I’d be getting first hand goods and not returned merchandise – one of my biggest concerns since I’d be using the ball a lot and didn’t want to risk getting something that might burst or have punctures. Since my first purchase I’ve become a steady customer and have purchased things for my entire family. If you thought that the site only sold exercise balls, chances are you’ll be amazed at the products they carry if you decide to check out the site. It’s full of items for fitness, weight lifting, yoga, Pilates and has a nice section for post work out recovery and health care. With most sites that carry these types of products you get a general almost generic selection, at Sissel Online Store you get the real deal.
Products
The biggest draw to the site has to be the exercise balls; Sissel Swiss Balls are extremely popular and can be used for a variety of different exercises. They also carry a lot of accessories for the Swiss Balls like bands, wall ranks and stabilizers. Their dumbbells are of the highest quality but aren’t exactly practical for those who are into any type of hard core weightlifting – no, these are for the home gym user that wants to warm up light or is strictly into toning and fitness. The site also carries a nice selection of yoga mats, instructional videos, post work out healing aids, heart rate monitors, books, customized exercise plans and even some stuff for the kids. I was a little hesitant about ordering a head pillow for my son through the site without having the chance to check it out in person first but my chiropractor raved about the benefits of them so I decided to order one for him. He suggested it after I told him about my son’s allergy attacks to grass, mold and pollen and said that he might benefit from the use of a Kinder Pillow. My first thought was ‘$30.00 for a pillow’ – something that quickly went out the window the first night he used it and said he felt a lot better in the morning.
One of my biggest purchases was an inversion table. After years of heavy weight lifting my back isn’t exactly in the best shape and there is only so much my chiropractor can do to help me out when I get locked up. After doing a lot of reading I made a $300.00 investment into their heavy duty inversion table and can’t say enough good things about it. Ten or fifteen minutes on this and I feel like a completely new person – not to mention that it’s hysterical to see the look on peoples faces the first time they see it, most have no idea what it is or what it’s used for and most assume it’s some type of torture device. I was impressed with how it was packaged when it arrive, how quickly and easily it went together and how well it has stood up over the past year. This is one of the main reasons I keep going back to the Sissel site – no matter how large or small your order, you get treated with respect, your orders are shipped quickly and the packaging is second to none.
Some of the other products you will find at the site include Pilates books, videos and assorted goods, muscle rubs and balms, hot and cold post work out therapy wraps, power weight balls, massage tables and pads and of course the clearance section. This is one part of the site that I hit often because you never know what you’ll find! I purchased one of these for my oldest when he started to complain that being on the computer for a few hours a day was hurting his back. He liked sitting on the smaller Swiss Ball I had in my office so I decided to see if getting him one of these would help. Well, we now have several of these that the boys use at their desks or when online and they love them. They do take a little while to get used to but it make a huge difference in how you sit and how you feel after a few hours online or sitting at a desk.

Shipping Information
The site uses UPS as their main shipping source however if you need to use another shipper, please call their customer service line [888 – 474 - 7735] to make arrangements. When you place an order you have a ton of options available – from Ground to Next Day Air so the actual cost of delivery all depends on how quickly you want to receive your order. Most of my orders have been in the $75.00 range with shipping via UPS Ground coming to around $10.00 which, in my opinion, isn’t that bad. If you are ordering oversized items you may get hit with a delivery surcharge so make sure you check to see if there are additional charges when you are selecting your merchandise. The downside to this is that UPS will not deliver to post office boxes or military addresses, if you fall into one of these categories, call customer service to make other delivery arrangements.
Return Policy
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase you can return it within thirty days of delivery. You will need to contact the customer service department to get an RMA [return merchandise authorization] number that should be put on the outside of the box as well as on the invoice if you enclose that with the item being returned. Media items such as video tapes are not returnable if opened unless they are defective or are damaged in transit. The Bottom Line
The site is easy to navigate and 100% free of any smut or pop up advertising. There are some slight delays as the pages load but for the most part the site runs seamlessly. All the items are listed with color photos, descriptions and pertinent information but if you ever have any questions, their trained customer service team is available to help out. I have never had any major problems ordering through the site or getting my orders delivered in a timely fashion and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high quality exercise products at an affordable price.
