A little long, but an excellent review (Reply to this comment)

I couldn't have put it better myself (in fact, I just wrote a review on Win XP Pro, but I probably couldn't put it better since you appear to use it far more extensively than I). Bravo to a most excellent review!

I also just wanted to note since you touch on it that after some hardware changes I did have to reactivate and it didn't let me via the Internet, but the phone call was far more painless than I expected. The rep only asked my CD key and why I needed to reactivate and immediately gave me the reactivation code. I go more into this in my review, but thought I'd mention it here.

I decided because of length to split this review into two parts. Part one will cover the Operating System overall, while Part 2 will deal with Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 2 (RC2). So I give you Part 1, Part 2 will follow in short order.

Not recommended.

Roxio makes a similar claim:

Did Microsoft switch from Roxio to Ahead for the cd burning engine in Win XP?
