We are from the UK. We bought this cam mainly so I could see and talk to my son who lives 5000 miles away in South Korea. I wish I had read the reviews of Logitech cams on this site, because our experience was a nightmare. We wasted many hours trying to get it to work but we could not get any sound from the inbuilt mike and the face-tracking didn't work. As to the main advertised feature, the zoom, it worked, sort of, but was difficult to control. The picture colour and quality was not of the best. Yet it cost £49.99, far from being the cheapest webcam available here. The software would not work with XP properly although it was advertised to do so and we believe the poor quality software was the real problem rather than the hardware. When we looked on the Logitech website at the Troubleshooting Section, the Company were trying to blame the broadbandconnection of certain ISPs (not named of course)for the audio problems.
The UK appears to have been flooded with Logitech webcams, mainly this model, which just so happens to be the worst of the family! Yeah.
The only positive thing we can say about this camera is that it looks pretty. The little cover for the lens is a good idea but falls off easily.
We took the cam back and changed it for a Creative Labs cam which worked instantaneously without any problems.
