Pros: Good selection of phones
Cons: Bad: reception, customer service and rates...actually customer service isn't just bad, its HORRIBLE!
The Bottom Line: Don't use US Cellular if you want to be treated like a valued customer. Take your business elsewhere.

| EmilyQ22's Full Review: General Reviews of US Cellular Customer Service |
Sure, I pay this company a lot of money each month for their service but apparently that doesn't entitle me to the best service possible only the bare minimum. I was on the old TDMA system and wanted to upgrade to the new CDMA system. In my mind I thought that was a completely reasonable desire. I went to my local US Cellular store and they told me I had to call an 800 number and speak to customer service. Fair enough I thought. I called and was told by a very rude representative that because US Cellular supports both systems I couldn't upgrade. I explained (very patiently) that I have very poor reception on the TDMA system and I wanted to upgrade simply to receive the best service that US Cellular offers. I was not planning to end my service with the company. She kept repeating the same statement to me until I got fed up and said good bye. I called back and spoke to someone else that was only slightly more helpful. Long story short...4 hours of phone calls later I ended up spending $250(!!!) to upgrade my phone. It certainly was NOT worth it. How much trouble would it have been for US Cellular to allow me to upgrade my phone? I would have been happy and would have continued to use them for service for a long time. But now when my contract expires I'm GONE. This company doesn't deserve anyone's time or money. STEER CLEAR!
