Since there are many reviews describing the Mini in detail, I'm just going to highlight on it's main points.

No it's no u luxury car (even though it's interior is close to that of a 3 or 5 series, but way smaller). You will fall in love with this car for it's looks, handling, features, and the Bmw nametag.

Interior: The best part on the inside I feel is the Harmon Kardon audio system.... just try it once, and you will note the difference. I took the option since I have a H/K. system at home, and thus knew its quality. If you are the kind of gal/guy who thinks Bose is the best, try this once ! Imagine yourself in that little car with 8 speakers around you. The cup holders suck, and I don't know about any other alternative. If you like roomy cars this one's not for you, but if you're only 2 of u, then I would say it's perfect.

Handling: Ah the best part.... Heres a challenge: try to get this car off the road, or even make it feel less stable at any speed, and the car is your's for free !!
Also comes standard with traction control, abs, ebd, and 6 airbags. Oh and also if you are the kind who loves his/her Lexus for it's smoothest ride, this car ain't for ya !

The bottom line: If you're a college student don't even think just go ahead and buy the car. And if you're anyone else, as I said before If you like it, there's no way you'll get out of the showroom without buying it.
