Pros: Very fluid feel to the mount.
It's a 76mm and FITS IN MY GLOVEBOX!
Cons: No lense caps for the spotting scope.
The Bottom Line: This is a wonderful first telescope. The price is right
and it performs just great. Quality look and feel.

| rikk60's Full Review: Celestron Tabletop 76 3 in. Newtonian Telescope |
I've been having a ball with my TT76 and just wanted to
say a few words.
First off, if you want a high end telescope, go out and
spend a few thousand bucks for it.
If you want to "see some cool stuff" and are new to
star gazing, I highly recommend this little dude.
I found the quality of the optics much better than the three
other full sized telescopes I tried and returned prior to
making my final choice.
Contrary to the previous review on this scope, the mount is
great. The trick is to find an adjustment point that allows
smooth movement of the scope WITH OUT locking the thumb
screws for viewing.
DUH!
It blew away the competition in this respect.
The only thing I don't like about it (which is easy to live with) is the lack of lense caps in the kit. I have
to take the spotting scope off for transit. That's more than likely a good idea anyways.
It offers GREAT views of the moon and gives brighter images
that any 60 or 70 mm instrument I tried out.
I can't wait to take it out camping in the Mojave.
It's a great deal for the money and has the quality feel
of the "old" Celestrons.
