First off, let me say that this is a good little machine. It's ideal for someone who just needs to patch a seam or a hem here and there.

It's just not what I, as a professional, needed. Then again, I am also quite "spoiled" by my computerized machine and have a small bias.

I was hoping for a machine that I could take with me as I traveled, so I would not have to carry my larger machine about. It does not have a lock-stitch option, nor can I change the sizes of my stitch. For me, this is important.

For someone who does not sew for a living and only needs to make small repairs... this machine is perfect. It does a simple straight-stitch that is secure.

Overall, It is ideal for a normal traveler who needs to patch things up while on the road. Great for RV travelers or traveling businesspeople. It's very compact and has a case and could be tucked into a suitcase. It comes with spare needles, and black and white pre-threaded bobbins.

Not ideal for a professional seamstress on the go.

It is also good if you are a beginner, or have a beginner at home, to learn the basic rudiments of a sewing machine. It is not an expensive machine, and will do what you need it to do as far as small clothing and even curtain repairs go. Threading and loading the bobbins is fairly easy, and the directions are easy to understand.

As far as features, there really are not any. That is one of the reasons that makes it ideal for someone who only uses a sewing machine for small repairs. There are no complicated settings to worry about.

It can be a little loud, it is rather hard to control at first. Do NOT press the pedal down all the way if you do not want it to go "psycho" on you. It does tend to run fast, and the pedal is the only real way to set the speed. Harder you press down, faster it stitches.
