Pros: Great multiplayer system, original gameplay, low requirements.
Cons: Need a good connection to really enjoy multiplayer.
The Bottom Line: You can find this game for about 5-10 bucks, so buy it and have fun. Imagine real-time chess with a real army.

This was one game I have been playing ever since it came out. The first thing I did when I purchased it was go through the single player mode, which was enjoyable, but not fantastic. This is a realtime war strategy game, which allows you to control armies of different creatures and people. You get magical units, dwarfs who throw moltov cocktails, archers who can set the scenery ablaze with burning arrows and all kinds of melle warriors. You get to play through about 16 levels, which you can play at different difficulties. These levels range from using a few units to using an army of about 16-20 units, which becomes challenging as you have to multi-task in realtime (Although there is 2 f-keys that allow you to slow down and speed up that action. These however only work in the single player game type). The game is worth playing through to the end, and then it becomes a little tiresome. This is where you quickly move your mouse to the multiplayer option and log onto playmyth.net (previously bungie.net) and find yourself with a never-ending supply of fun games to be had. I personally think that the multiplayer system in myth is the best I have ever used. You have the option to team with freinds, you can chat at nearly every point of the game, and there are huge amounts of fun plugins to download and play (The WW2 recon plugin is by far the most popular). I have played on and off for over 4 years on this game with freinds, and when I come back there are always still people enjoying the game, with usually around 60-80 people online to play with. The only downside is that you have to find good hosts, and with a 56k modem, it can lag constantly (Luckily I have DSL) but if you have a good connection, you will find yourself coming back again and again.
