Pros: Looks-Beautiful, Ease of Use.
There are too many PROS to list.
Cons: NONE, I can not think of one con for this item..
The Bottom Line: THE BOTTOM LINE IS, although sort of pricey, this is one Kitchen appliance that I know everyone would love.

I recently turned 40.
I have always, always, always wanted a KitchenAid mixer. I did not care which one, I just wanted ONE.
I have been waiting years to get one. You know, its one thing or another, as long as you have a hand mixer you can get by. Well, to my surprise, my roommate brought me one home, wrapped for my 40th birthday. It was a complete surprise, being that my birthday was several weeks ago.
I could not believe what I was opening.
And yes, it was the exact one I wanted, even the color (Imperial Grey--very classy color).
This was the Artisan 5 quart mixer.
I oogled and oogled over it all, the attachments which are metal (flat beater, dough hook and wire whip), the bowl, which is large stainless, 5 quarts and with a HANDLE!, and the pouring shield.
I quickly put it on my counter and thought of 100 things to make.
The next day I put it to use.
first made MEATLOAF...Yes, meatloaf. With the flat beater, I put the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, pepper and onion in the mixer.
Tilted the mixer down into the bowl and turned it on.
WOW, it was like a professional working. LOL.
After mixed, put the beef in a bread pan and into the oven,
cooked one hour..was wonderful..(ask and I will send recipe).
Next we had Mashed potatoes...Followed the directions in the instructional manual and used the Flat Beater and the Wire Whip..they turned out perfect.
The last thing I have made was Scones. I wanted to use the Dough Hook and found a recipe to use it.
The attachments are removed extremely easily and clean with soap and water in a snap.
I can not say enough about this fabulous item.
