I placed an order with this firm based on the many positive reviews. I was very disappointed.
I placed this order at 7:41 AM PDT for a Konica Minolta (KM) Dimage Z3 and asked for overnight shipping and rush service. I immediately received a confirmation email saying my card had been charged.
Almost 6 hours later, my order was still awaiting "address confirmation", even though the billing and shipping address were identical. I called and was told it had just cleared. I asked if it would still be shipped that day. I was told yes.
The next morning, the status was still that it would be shipped in 1-2 business days, and I voided the order. I would have probably waited a few days, but I also had a less than satisfying exchange with their customer service.
I found it disturbing is that I could not confirm that this is USA merchandise carrying a full USA warranty. KM's web site does not list Newegg as an authorized reseller, and a phone call to KM confirmed they are not. I received several evasive answers to emails and was told to contact the manufacturer. How would a manufacturer know whether this was USA mechandise or obtained on the gray market?
The last reply I received had a typo, and without giving an real answer, asked who said anything about the gray market.
The fact that I could not get a yes or no answer to a straightforward question, coupled with the unexplained order processing delays scared me.
They may have excellent prices and reviews here, but without confirmation that this was USA merchandise with a USA warranty, it was more of a risk than I was willing to take.
Others may want to consider this themselves.
