I'm a relative newbie to RPGs, and honestly most folks can't understand my fascination with them - but you put it into words so well. :-) I look forward to browsing all your video game opinions.

Dragon Warrior was one of my favorite RPGs on the NES. I'm not sure, but I think I played all 3 or 4 of the Dragon Warrior series. It's been so long, I can't remember how many they had. I remember my parents coming into my room while I was still playing WAYYYY past midnight on school nights.

Lately I've been playing the Final Fantasy series. I only have FF7,8,9 and tactics so I don't know what I've been missing on the first 6. Unbelievably addicting, aren't they?

RPG's are the only ones that I like to play/watch. Those fighting games like Mortal Kombat are the same thing over and over, but the RPGs make you use your brain and make you smile.

People have on occasion asked me how I can sit for hours playing a video game. I remind them that they watch just as much TV! I guess it's an enigma to those on the outside... until they sit down and actually play one.

Thanks! HR.
