I never get invited to write-offs like this one...but I am glad you did! Thank you for sharing your story with me...it felt very personal to me because I now live with my daughter too! She is not exactly a caregiver yet, but I am sure in the years to come, she will be...

I am sorry for your illness, but happy to hear that you have made your peace with The Man Upstairs...He seems to always be there when we need him...

I will sat a prayer for you tonight...God Bless You and thank you for sharing!

TTFN...

I have not had the pleasure of reading your reviews before. I'm ever so grateful to ed for arranging this gathering of life and experience together. What more is there for you to say? You lived your life, as we all do, with all of our being and all of our senses. What a journey it is for each of us! Cheers!

Great review and reflections of your own living experience. :) May I continue to live mine as fully and as well.

you weren't in my doctor's office last Monday, were you? You sound just like her! The lady in the wheelchair was a kick! She kept asking the receptionist for a drink. She was offered coffee, water and pop. She kept asking what the pop would have in it. No, no ORDINARY pop would do for her!

May the Good Lord bless and keep ya!

Being the oldest . . . (Reply to this comment)

. . . of my siblings, I remember our parents in their younger years. Dad worked until he entered the hospital for the last time. Mom was a prankster to her dying day.

Mrs. G and I try to live life as fully.

Our kid's know that we were not born old - we had to work at it!

Great posting.

and have some fun, too. Sure wish you were one of my clients/friends. We'd have us some times. Thanks for writing this. I think it's the best of the lot. Kristin

You actually said a lot more than you give yourself... (Reply to this comment)

,,,credit for.

You demonstrated that a caustic wit and a dry sense of humor can remain healthy even when one is saddled with serious health problems in old age.

The mind, in the end, is what separates those who are truly infirm from those who simply have more obstacles to overcome, as severe as some of those infirmities and obstacles might be.

I'll bet you give you daughter a run for her money, and she's probably grateful for it.

Nicely done.

BRAVO SISTER!!! (Reply to this comment)

What a very fine thing you wrote for us!

What a precious thing, the resignation without despair, the courage of the soul, coming through all of it... The escapades, the adventures, the well and no so well lived life... No regrets, no apologies. Every memory in its place and you still here, and what you wrote is fresh air and a Guinness for me. I thank you, Lady.

Much love to you, sister!

Cheers! To your very fine life!

That this Lady is just exactly what I said a Lady through and through, even during the roll in the hay and all of it....

She is the Mother of the year in my book and honesty is the best policy.....nothing fake with my Mama.....Just true love and gentleness...

I love you Mama....and I love your epinions....
keep writing...these help me......each and every one....

I applaud your openness and bravery. I loved the remark about the mileage. I wish I had the courage to even hint at some of my escapades.

My younger sister (65) is in the early stages of emphazema. No oxygen yet, but she called the other day to say they found a spot on her lung.

Thanks so much for joining us in the write-off. My prayers go out to you.

Someday I hope to put something to print with this title.. a reflection. I will dedicate it to you, Priscilla..a woman I have love, admiration and respect for, yet I know only by her words.

P.S. now come on....you aren't really gonna leave me hanging, are ya... tell us about the Roll in the Hay.. you can leave out some of the details if you insist. I promise I won't tell your daughters, if you don't tell mine.
