Pros:Talk about Power! You will not be sorry for your purchase.
Cons:Expensive
The Bottom Line: Please don't let the price scare you away. This vac will last you for many years to come.

Last month I bought my new Kenmore Progressive vacuum. I had always wanted this model after seeing how long my friends lasted.( 13 YEARS AND COUNTING) Yes, it is a expensive vac, but I think it is worth every penny.

I have owned my own home now for 8 years. In these years I have went through 5 vacuums. I was so tired of buying a $200.00 vac and having it die a year later. I have went through the bagless kind, the upright models, and broom stick vacs. None have the power that my Kenmore has.

My last vac was a 12 amp also, but still it didnt remove the pet hair. I have a white Persian cat, who tends to leave little puffs of hair on my hunter green carpet. I can now fool my friends that the cat is no longer here. There aren't anymore cotton ball trails lying around.

I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I am so excited about my purchase. My Kenmore came with so many attachments. The power mate has to be my favorite. It is a small version of the large power head. It attaches to the end of the hose, or the wand, and is small enough to go behind the couch to grab the pet hair. It is so much fun to use. I am a person who loves to clean anyhow, and this is so much fun.

I also love the fact that my Kenmore has the one touch feature for removing the wand from the power head. It has a foot lever to pop it right off. Also a added plus, is the wand extends from about 2 ft, to about 3 feet, with a push of a button. This is also a plus for storage.

I want anyone who is looking for a vacuum to keep in mind that the bagless models may seem easier to dispose of your dirt, without having to buy bags. But, you will soon learn that the motor in these vac's never last more then 2 years.
I did own a top model, and I was angered at it's reliability. Who wants to buy a vac every 2 years?

Oh and I got my Kenmore on sale. I paid $399.00. instead of the reg. $499.00. So look around and wait for sales. I lucked out. The week my old vac died, happened to be a kenmore sale at Sears.
