Galls, Making Life Easier For Law Enforcement Officers!

Galls Online Store is a website that my husband couldn't live without. He is in law enforcement and needs quality supplies. Galls carries several name brand lines that are all of good quality. My husband appreciates the variety and option to choose from several brands when he is purchasing new equipment. Galls has a store located in Lafayette, Louisiana (about 50 miles from Baton Rouge) that my husband shops at frequently. I asked him why he never shopped online since gas prices were now through the roof. He didn't realize they HAD a website so I introduced him to online shopping. Now, what all does Galls have to offer? Sit back and I'll tell you all about their company and their website.
Galls carries all kinds of supplies and equipment for all public safety officials. This includes law enforcement, firemen, emergency medical personnel, correctional officers, military and personal safety items. They carry belts, uniforms, holsters, badges, batons, signs, road hazard cones, sirens and light bars, mace, medical supplies, gifts such as jewelry, knives, flashlights, and a variety of boots and footwear among other things! Galls carries most major brand names such as Bates, Magnum, Bianchi, Uncle Mike's, Copp Tuff, Blackhawk, Stinger, Streamlight, DutyPro, Safariland, Gould & Goodrich, and of course the famous Galls brand. Galls has it all!
I shopped the online store at www.galls.com just last week to order my husband a new inner belt and also a new duty belt. He told me what he wanted, a basketweave design and his usual brand which is Safariland. I was able to get one belt in his brand of choice but the duty belt was not available in Safariland. However, Galls had another belt in the basketweave design that looked just like the Safariland duty belt so I put it in the shopping cart. It matched perfectly and was what my husband was looking for.
The shopping cart was easy to use, very user friendly and I didn't have any problems checking out. The sight is secure via Verisign which uses encrupted messaging when sending information online. Payment methods accepted are Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
The website is also easy to navigate. The homepage features items currently on Special. The menu to the right has a Shop by Category link, Clearance, New Items, or you can click on special links just for military or law enforcement. This makes shopping for a special item easy to find. If you are shopping for an entire department there is a link for a quote. The form is easy to fill out and will only take a few minutes.
The menu on the top of the page has the following categories:
Shop - This link will take you to safety items by categories (batons, uniforms, belts, badges, light bars, etc).
Order Status - This link allows you to check the status of orders placed online. After placing your order you will receive an email confirmation with all information to log in here and check the status of your order.
My Account - Makes placing an order faster. All of your personal information (name and address, etc) are stored for future use.
Galls U - If you are ever unsure about a product this link is for you. Galls will help you make a qualified decision on your purchase geared toward your needs.
Help - This section has links for you to check if you have questions on Shipping, Taxes, Returns, Guarantees, Order Status, Special Orders and Security and Privacy issues.
Shipping
Galls ships via United Parcel Service and gives you the option of regular ground shipping or Express shipping. Galls ships all items in stock on the same day or following day. Your order is usually received within 3 to 5 business days. We normally receive our package on the third day. Items are packaged very well with plenty of packing material to insure that items arrive safely.
Shipping rates are as follows:
Up to $25.00 ..........$5.99
$25.01 to $50.00 ..........$6.99
$50.01 to $75.00 ..........$8.99
$75.01 to $100.00 ..........$9.99
$100.01 to $150.00 ..........$10.99
Shipping was $8.99 on our last order. This was less than the amount we would of spent on gas and my husband didn't have to waste a half day on his day off! The package arrive on the third day after placing the order. This was fast shipping!
Recommendation
If you are in the public safety field, this is a great online store. Prices are reasonable, (they beat the local law enforcement store in town here), and they have a huge variety of items in stock. I'm so glad my husband is now shopping online and saving his spare time and gas money! 5 Stars!
