I kept seeing the commercials on television for Relacore. A dietary supplement specifically for women over the age of forty to help shrink belly fat. It was simply out of the question to make the purchase through relacore.com at $49.95 per bottle of ninety capsules.
I went to the next best place, eBay and found a few pages of listings, but not wanting to wait I checked out those that were available immediately for purchase. The price was on average $28.95 - $32.95, add the shipping charge of $5.95-6.95 and the price was still too high in my opinion.
I double checked to make sure that Relacore was not listed on the site and sometimes related deals will be available on items not yet listed here. This is what led me to A1 Nutrition Products.com. They were the related deal on Epinions with the price being $26.95. I then did a quick look around the site for the actual listing of this online merchant to see what their star rating and reviews were like.
I placed my order at A1 Nutrition Products.com on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at 3:30 pm CA time. The website is located at www.A1NutritionProducts.com. They also go by A1N - Total Nutrition on the Net. The site has a savings center, lists their top 20 products, new arrivals, clearance products and overstocked sale. Coming soon is cutting edge products. Also within the year the website will be www.A1Nutrition.com, which is currently under development. I learned of this site through the link in the email I received when notified that Relacore was on back order.
Besides selling diet products along with Atkins the site is also geared for those wanting to stop smoking, body building, sports nutrition, power lifting, health maintenance and anyone interested in enhanced sexuality. These products are similar to Viagra and Cialis. The skin care offerings include a product similar to Botox entitled, Hydroderm.
The top of the home page has links to the top searches which include bars, drinks, fat loss and low carb. The pages load quickly for dial-up users with the option to go page by page or show all products in one heading on the same page. The product description has a paragraph that states the amount of the product, whether it be ounces of capsules, then the main section it will be listed under. There is medicine cabinet, Fat Burners, Nutrition Bars, Protein Powders, etc. You can click on that link to see more items or directly below that link is one for the actual brand. Relacore is listed under Specialty Weight Loss. The company is Carter Reed and today the price is now at $27.95, but not currently available! They show the MSRP at $69.95, which is misleading if the actual relacore.com site has this at 49.95. There is a replacement offering in red ink for $24.95, called Cortigen. There is a volume discount when buying in quantity. For example, this Cortigen is $23.70 if you purchase five of them at one time.
There are reviews to read on A1 Nutrition Products.com. In order to rate a product on the site you need to fill out the review form. Both reviews had five stars, but did not influence me in any way since I went to the site intending on making the purchase. Relacore is a stress reducer and mood elevator.
You can easily continue shopping with one click after placing an item into your shopping cart. At the cart page you can change the quantity of an item, the drop down box goes all the way from 1-50. At this point you do not have access to the shipping rate, this happens at the next screen in the check out process.
Privacy is guaranteed at the site and they accept phone orders. They are located in Florida. Their shipment of the Relacore came from California, where I am located. The check out is in four steps, account, address, payment and receipt. New and returning customers can bypass log in or enter an email address and password to keep your data secure for next purchase.
Your home zip code must be the same as your credit card, otherwise your order could be declined. They do ship to military addresses, APO/AFO. You need to check Armed Forces and there is a section for special instructions for your address to be detailed. Regular shipping is with either USPS for under one pound and to APO/AFO. Other orders are through Federal Express ground.
The flat rate starts at $5.95 per order, which is what my shipping rate was for one item. The rate is based on weight and destination. Some products have a free shipping promotion and those over the price of $300 get free shipping. Fed Ex ground takes 3-5 days to arrive. Free ground shipping does not cover over night shipping. They do not offer Fed Ex Canada Standard Ground due to brokerage fees.
The payment options are four credit cards - American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa. You can always mail in a money order or a check. There is a map of the country under the delivery section that is color coded according to how many days delivery will take.
I received several emails from A1 Nutrition Products.com over the course of two weeks. Order was placed on 8-8-04, confirmation email received on 8-8-04. This email was very detailed with links, mentioned the tracking is available 24 hours after order was shipped with USPS being 48 hours later. They also reminded me of my password and had all the order data included.
On 8-10-04 I received an email with the subject relacore order from a Customer service manager informing me this was backordered with the ETA the following Monday. I then went to my credit card account online and noticed they had charged me on the 9th. This email had the under construction website for future ordering.
This email asked me to advise them if I wanted to cancel or wait for the arrival of the stock. I replied stating I would wait. Then on the 19th I called to find out about the delay and had forgotten about the website to track my order, but since I never got notified of it being shipped this would not have helped anyway.
This is when I realized they were in Florida, near Tampa, and in the area of Hurricane Charley. I was told the supply was coming from California and due on the 30th or 31st. I was not happy for the long wait and mentioned that my credit card had already been charged as I had received my statement noting this charge.
On 8-24-04 I received three emails, one was from the customer service manager informing me the Relacore was in stock and being processed. Each email from this person had Greetings as the salutation. The next email was from customer.service@ a1n.net with the tracking information for my order. This included the number with the links to check on tracking with details on if your number started with a certain prefix this indicated a Fed Ex order or the other option was USPS shipping. There was also a link to time charts with Fed Ex.
The last email was from robot@ a1nutritionproducts.com with the exact same data as the previous email, just another originating from another address. These referred to me as valued customer. These emails stated delivery is only Mondays through Fridays.
I was therefore very surprised at 1:45 this afternoon to get a knock on my door with a Federal Express delivery person holding the damaged box from A1 Nutrition Products.com. It appears they do deliver on Saturdays. After I got the package I checked the Fed Ex tracking link provided in the email and noticed that thisw as sent on the 24th and had an estimated delivery date of 8-28-04.
The actual A1 Nutrition Products.com site tracking shows order status as charged and processed. The payment section shows payment as open, it was authorized but not charged. This is incorrect data since I have my MasterCard statement showing otherwise. This shows I was emailed regarding the backorder with the original order date. There is the link to do the actual tracking at the Fed Ex site that I had visited earlier.
The brown delivery box was dented and inside this was the Relacore box, which also was dented. This did not damage the actual capsules inside, but still not really presentable. The delivery took too long, but this was due to mother nature. The bonus was I did not expect it today on a Saturday, but had I gone to the tracking site I would have known it was coming.
There was a long time in between being notified on the 10th of the back order and the emails on the 24th. If I had not called on the 19th I am not sure I would have product at this moment, especially since the site shows this is not available.
Relacore is a very popular product, as evidenced by the bidding going on at eBay for this. Since eBay is individuals I am not 100% certain had I ordered and paid a few dollars more whether I would have received it quicker.
There is an easy to use help center at the site that explains they will reply within 48 hours to all emails. They do volume discounts, cannot match other prices and they do offer a money back guarantee. It needs to be shipped to their PO Box with the invoice and your name.
I do like the information they have under the product descriptions and how you can shop according to various needs and by brands. When comparing products you can see the price of them all and make your selection from there and view more details.
Since I just filed bankruptcy this past week I am not sure I will be ordering from them or not since I have to wait to reaffirm one credit card. I would call them directly and ask when they will be offering Relacore again. Even though there are 90 capsules in the container, you need to take three a day so this is only a one month supply.
