Pros: The price, the atmosphere, everything.
Cons: Some spots in the game where I'm left scratching my head.
The Bottom Line: This game is good like Vinatieri with two seconds left with the game on the line.

Here it is: ESPN NFL 2K5 for Xbox for 20 bucks, when in actuality, it's worth more. I always felt the NFL2K series stood on it's own two feet, but this edition is further realized. Let me explain: It truly captures the feel, pace and excitement of the NFL. The plays (offense and defense), the atmosphere and the emotion. The cutscenes where the crowd becomes upset after their team is being crushed and (or) the defensive unit have given up big plays is hilarious. There is also a hefty number of plays to execute, and if that's not enough then make your own playbook. Hot routes on offense AND defense?! Clearly a stroke of genious. However, there are some spots in the game where I'm left scratching my head.
1. Sometimes, one of the o-lineman won't pick up his block. That can be the difference of a good play or a busted one. The secondary will blow their assignments from time to time. So all you offensive and defensive perfectionists (like me) out there, prepare to scream in frustration.
2. The lip- synching? In a word, a joke! It's off alot of times.
3. Dan Stevens and Peter O'Keefe. I always loved their commentary.... (in fact Madden's commentary isn't this good)...... until now. It's not bad at all, just as entertaining as always. I don't think any new lines were recorded.
Graphics?! Whoa. I'm astounded. The detail of the jerseys ooh and the players faces. You should see Byron Leftwich.... amazing. However, when creating a player, not enough faces to choose from. Madden has 100 faces in each complexion.
This games is good like Vinatieri from 50 yards in a Super Bowl game. $19.99?! Seriously, this is a million dollar gem of a football game.
