My humidifier doesn't look like the one in the picture. I'm not sure if they have changed it, or if I've got the wrong humidifier. Anyway, I do have a Robitussin 2 gallon humidifier. Mine has a water container at the top that you can lift out and fill up in your bath tub. This makes it very easy to fill up. You just grab it by the handle, take it to the tub and turn it over, unscrew the cap covering the spout, fill it up, put the cap back on, and turn it over to carry back and put it back into the humidifier base. The cap has a spring on it that when it is put into the base, it releases the water into the humidifier. At first I thought it would leak, but it hasn't yet.
This humidifier is for rooms only. It will not do a series of rooms or even a large open area. We have it in our baby's room. This isn't a tiny room. It is probably medium sized and it has a very large ceiling. I find that the humidifier does an excellent job of keeping this room moist.
The humidifier has two settings--high and normal. When it is set on high, it puts a lot of moisture into the room very quickly. It also drains a lot faster. I find that my daughter's room is almost tropical when I put this on high. It is also very loud on this setting. Normal is much better. It still makes a slight noise, but it doesn't drain as fast. It also puts a lot of moisture in the room, but not as much as high. I think this is the perfect setting unless it is really dry.
What I like about this product is that it isn't very expensive. It costs roughly $30. There is a cheaper model, but it only holds one gallon of water.
