I just visited this museum about two weeks ago and since your visit, they've added a second floor to the museum. There is an elevator so you're not forced to use the stairs.
The second floor has more props and exhibits from the movies. There are cases just for weapons, a bar set up based on the cantina from Star Wars, a full sized model of the Alien from the movie of the same name and a small theater showing loops from the Jetsons and Blade Runner among other things to see.
We still only spent about two hours there and agree with your assessment on the price.
