I was shopping for a nursing bra and having a hard time locating my size in local stores. I tried an internet search and came up with this site.
MERCHANDISE
A broad selection of bras and panties plus underwear for men, baby clothes and some other similar stuff. There is fancy stuff, sexy stuff, practical stuff and nursing stuff. I was very impressed with the depth of merchandise.
SHOPPING THE SITE
The site's organization is pretty good but you may need to use the search engine if you can't find exactly what you want. For example, the baby clothes are buried under the maternity section and not easy to find. The site itself is not very pretty and doesn't have the bells and whistles of more sophisticated sites but it was fairly easy to shop since I knew exactly what I wanted. I would have appreciated a shop by size feature so I could have located available items in my size but they didn't have one.
PRICING
Sierrablue discounts many items that they sell. The discounted prices, plus no tax since they company is based in Canada plus free shipping usually add up to a good deal.
ORDERING
Ordering and check out were very easy. I didn't have to create a password and I only had to enter my information the minimal amount of times. The site accepts the major credit cards. If you contact them, you can also pay by check or money order.
SHIPPING and PACKAGING
Basic shipping costs are free. This site is a little unique in that, the more you spend, the faster your shipping time. Small orders are ground shipped. Larger orders are sent via express mail. You can also pay $$ to increase your shipping time.
My bras came in a lined envelope that was sufficient to protect my items. I got my items six days after I placed my order.
RETURNS (shipping can be high)
I actually made a return to this company and it went very smoothly. I was able to reuse the packaging by retaping the envelope. The only bummer is that you have to send the return package to Canada and pay the return shipping costs which can be high since the package is international if sent from the U.S.
The company credited me immediately upon receipt of my return. I would have liked some acknowledgement of my return - an email or postcard - so I didn't have to check my credit card statement. However, the process was so fast that I could accept no notification.
Another thing to note is that returns are supposed to be made within ten days. Also, they don't accept returns of many items for hygenic reasons. Be sure to check their policies before ordering if you are not completely sure of your size or may consider making a return.
STEALS AND DEALS
I looked online and didn't find any coupons. However, I signed up for the email notifications and just got an email coupon from the company for 10% off orders over $35 and 15% off orders over $75. To my knowledge, Sierrablue doesn't participate in rebate sites such as Upromise or Ebates but these things change and it makes sense to check before you shop.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
There is a toll-free line for customer service. You can also chat online with a customer service rep. I didn't use these services and can't comment.
FINAL RECOMMENDATION
I had a really good experience with this store and would recommend it. I thought the site had a great selection and, most importantly, they stocked the nursing bra I needed in my size. Shipping and my return went smoothly.
