I placed (another) order with Baby Universe. I ordered a car seat from them in the past with no problems and decided to go with them again when I ordered a new baby stroller.
There prices were about the same as other stores across the board. I guess it's a name brand thing that everyone really has about the same prices. (Britax and Maclaren being the brands I've purchased from them).
I did pay a $6.95 flat shipping fee. I don't think that was over inflated, probably under. Some many places seem to want to over charge for handling anymore. I know that occasionally they do over free shipping on their website. Maybe if I had waited a bit longer, I could have got a deal on the shipping, but I didn't really mind the 6.95.
Later in the same week, I ordered another carseat for 2nd vehicle and did receive free shipping on it.
When I received my stroller and checked the invoice, I had a code to receive $5 off as a repeat customer. I had already placed another order-for the carseat- without the code. I sent off an email asking if they would give me a $5 credit since I was a repeat customer, just too fast of a repeat customer. Haven't heard back on that yet... will update if I hear anything.
My order arrived in a timely fashion. And I could track the package by checking my account status.
I did go through ebates and hope to receive a 7% rebate back also!
UPDATE:
Thought I'd update saying that I did not receive a $5 credit, no email to acknowledge my request either, but I didn't really expect it, just thought it would be cool!
Also I never received (one of) the 7% rebate through ebates either. I filed a 'where's my rebate' through ebates, providing order details and the ticket tracking info (that shows you ordered from the site in question) and received email back from ebates that baby universe said that my purchase didn't qualify basically-- they said it wasn't through the ebates site although I had the tracker info! and ebates said they couldn't pay if retailer didn't pay... guess Baby Universe didn't want to fork over the $20ish for the carseat purchase... I did receive $10.50 on the stroller purchase.
This would not prevent me from ordering from them in the future. I am still very happy with the service, merchandise, and pricing that the offer.

BabyUniverse ships orders via FedEx, UPS, the United States Postal Service and various freight carriers. BabyUniverse ships Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
FedEx ground delivers Tuesday through Saturday. FedEx air delivers Monday through Friday. UPS ground and air delivers Monday through Friday. USPS delivers Monday through Saturday. Freight carriers will contact the provided telephone number to schedule delivery.
