It is difficult to find a place to start on how unbelievably adept this phone is to falling apart. I purchased two of the LG VX4400 phones from Verizon Wireless along with a two year contract. The phones come with a warranty that lasts for the first year. Isn't it wonderful how technology seems to know when a warranty has expired? My phone started to experience signal problems one month prior to the expiration of my warranty. Lucky for me Verizon was able to replace the phone prior to the expiration so I wasn't too upset at this point. Around two weeks later the new phone started shutting off all by itself. Again, I returned to Verizon and they replaced this one as well; phone number 2. Well, it just wouldn't be a LG if it lasted for any length of time so it decided one week later to completely shut off and die losing all my stored information. Fortunately, for me, the phone was covered by a 90 day warranty from Verizon and they replaced it again. For those who are counting I'm on phone number 3 right now. I guess the other phone I bought got jealous and decided it wanted an early retirement as well. See, it waited until one week after the expiration of the warranty to throw up it's arms. Verizon's technician ran diagnostics on the phone and told me it failed 29 of 32 tests. Now, it's time to buy a new phone at full retail price. Thank you LG.
Oh yeah, Verizon's tech informed me that "Those phones are the most reliable in the store from a tech's viewpoint."
I see what he means, they keep the techs with plenty of work.
