Pros: They will fit, they will be right, and they will not make you swear.
Cons: A bit expensive, but otherwise there is no down side.
The Bottom Line: You need to get this if you have a Mont Blanc pen, the cheaper off brands are not well made, and they will not be worth it when they fail.

| merchantman's Full Review: MONT BLANC 39SG Blue Refill 39SG |
This will be easy... The 39SG blue refill is by far the best product to use if you are needing a re-fill for your Mont Blanc pen. I have tried a few of the "knock off" replacements and have been without fail irritated by the sloppy construction they all seem to share. My favorite trick was when I screwed the off brand refill into the pen, it just came apart... I mean it damn well broke just beneath the little screw in collar up at the base of the writing tip... by the way, on the cheap refills, the screw in collar is plastic, not metal as on the proper refills from Mont Blanc, one more reason not to buy them!
After this little horror show played out, I spent the better part of half an hour trying to get the now worthless tip unscrewed from the pen body... needless to say I was in a great state of agitation, and had ink on me to boot.
The moral of the story is this... if you pay that much for a good pen, DO NOT try to buy cheap refills... You need to get the right thing for the job, and that is the Mont Blanc refill!!! You will know when you have the real deal... the packaging is black (like the pen), and it sports the white Mont Blanc crest on the card backing.
