An oldie, but a goodie

Pros:Cheap. Fantastic sound.
Cons:Um... there are cons?
The Bottom Line: The only thing better is the Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1, but I don't suggest the $200 price tag, unless you are going to use all the capabilities of it.
Well, the actual Sound Blaster Live! Value was made in 1998, but it still kicks even the newest sound card's butt. The sound is crystal clear, even on my old speakers from 1995, from my old compaq. Nice piece of hardware. The multi-channel audio is beautiful. I can play Starcraft, with Blink 182 playing in WinAmp, and recieve an Instant Message without one peep of static. Nice, huh? Well there is only one problem. The drivers are about 5 Mbs. Now this isn't a problem, unless you have to download them on a 33.3 Kbs dial-up connection, like myself. That is the only prob I had.
