Pros: Light weight, Expandable memory (SD slot, I use 256mb cards), Ease of use (when working)
Cons: Battery life is low (Mine only lasted 6-8 hours), Quality problems
The Bottom Line: Since Audible has changed its free player. I would avoid this player.

| thothindust's Full Review: Audible Otis 64 MB MP3 Player |
The Otis performance is spotty at best. I have been an Audible .com member since they have started several years ago. The first player They offered is the Rio 500. Support was from Audible or Sonic Blue. When it crashed I could not find the programs to reflash the BIOS. So I ordered the Otis to replace it. The first Otis did not work at all. The second worked but only with the head phones. It would not work with the Cassette adapter. (I used three different adapters). I found the software that fixed my Rio so I continued to use it. I used the Otis for the long books and the Rio for shorter books (20 hours or less). The Otis is 6 months old and has stopped working all together. The batteries ran down and now it will not even turn on. You can not get in touch with the manufacture. So I have been in touch with Audible and they have sent me the software to reflash the BIOS but it does not work with my Otis. Do not get me wrong the Otis has some great features, and would be an outstanding player if the quality control was a little better. From everything I have found on the net, if you get this player it has a 50-50 chance of working properly.
