The bills keep coming, it is currently up to $888 and change.
I signed up in August 2003 for a new one year plan, even though, at the time I could have ported my phone to Verizon, and I disregarded the complaints and reviews I got thru research.
Since then, of the two phones I ordered, only one received on time, I was accused by the rep I called of lying about missing a phone???? Finally got my "overnight" phone almost a month later. Then it got worse. Mind you I'd been with att wireless for 2 years previous.
My company sponsorship discount was never applied correctly, my phone was put on my company's corporate account, while my wife's phone was left on the regular contract.
My company, for some reason paid the bills, then my wife's phone got cancelled because of non-payment.
The reason, as it was so condescendingly explained to me was that my payments were going to an analog account (the pre-GSM one I was told would be closed), while the GSM account was not receiving anything.
No apology, no professionalism, no human understanding with this company. They recently merged with Cingular, and I foolishly inquired about rollover minute plans, which they don't yet offer.
Did I mention after their screwup, I had to get a new contract? I am in the process of contacting the FTC and Better Business Bureau.
After this experience, I'm going to T-mobile or verizon. I've had most of all the other carriers, and they either suck, or are too expensive anyway.
All I want is to have my bill for two phones come in under $100/month. I will keep searching...
