abc distributing LLC - Online Catelog Gift Collection -
Sep 30, 2004
This is pretty much wholesale and you have an account which you pay when the order is received. You must open an account with them to order. Also, you should order in 3's since shipping would be less. You may order less but it usually costs more to do so. It is not a standard retail online store.
abc distributing LLC is a great place to shop from online catalogs. I have purchased specifically for Christmas and Springtime items and have loved every minute of it.
The only downside that I've found or experience is a lag in some delivery times due to back ordering. It can be frustrating of course. It has only happened to me on one occasion and they had my order shipped to me a week later than it was suppose to arrive. I believe that was in their truck load blow-out section. You will be notified immediately by fax or mail if an item is not going to be shipped within 30 days from receipt of your order.
I've ordered candles/holders, wreaths, lights, dish towels, ornaments, and some nik-naks from them. My orders have always been packed well and arrived in perfect condition.
The product, so far, has been a nice quality and though not expensive, doesn't look cheap either. They have a nice selection to order from and a fairly wide area of interest available.
abc distributing LLC started in 1955 as a small family type business but has since grown into a large catalog giant offering much to the consumer. They offer quality at an affordable price.
The website is laid out pretty well though I feel it could be a bit more organized. You can pick the catalog you wish to order out of from a drop-down at the top of the page in the menu bar. The color theme is nice and easy on the eyes and their pages load fast enough. I have not experienced any image loss and they do seem to load nicely.
At the moment their catalog offerings include, Holiday Gift Collection, Fall gift collection, truck load clearance blow out, fall/winter collection, joy of decorating, specials, holiday and fall interactive section.
Payment terms are a bit different than most since you order as a company. You do not pay immediately however, you can pay online with their ePay or mail payment in. You can sign up for that (ePay) and pay online. They do not ship outside the U.S. They do ship to all 50 states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, APO and FPO addresses, and the District of Columbia.
Shipping Charges (as per their shipping page)
Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight, size and shipping destination per package and include:
The standard commercial and residential published rates from UPS, even though we may use other carriers such as FedEx, U.S. Postal Service, etc. to deliver to you.
Insurance charges: UPS and FedEx add 35¢ per package if the package is valued at over $100.
We add 25¢ per package on all U.S. Parcel Post for insurance.
An 85¢ handling charge applies to each package.
Standard return policies apply. Refund, exchange, replacement.
You can view the status of your order and or pay invoices online at anytime. They claim to be committed to your complete satisfaction.
I would like to state that I believe this company would be great for a retail business. You could probably make a nice profit and it would be good for eBay sellers as well. The prices are low enough to allow for a nice increase and I have done so on eBay before. I mostly use them for gifting but I do keep my options open.
Surf through their pages and compare their prices with those found on retail sites. An open account where you charge your purchases may not be for you but if you are looking for bulk and or looking in the direction toward making a little money, you may find this company worth a look.
note: You can order from their printed catalogs by using their online form or mailing it in if you are more comfortable doing that.
