After years of only being able to afford a InkJet style printer I found this unit on sale, and for my office I really wanted to get away from cheesy inkjet invoices, give the client something crisp and easy to read.
Enter the 1000 series, does a wonderful job, and with my print volume of about 150 or so a month, it has kept up and had no major problems, jams, or problems I could not fix by opening the access areas.
As a Linux guy for server related stuff, I did try to set this up as a shared printer so my office PC's and Mac could access the printer from a always on Linux file server, however this printer is a Windows printer, it relies heavily on Windows for processing the print information and translating it into something the 1000 series can understand and print.
All in all though, it has done well, I would of loved the various OS support, but in the end for $125 for a laser printer, beggers can't be choosers!
