What is pretty and pink, sloshes in a squirt bottle, is abundantly fragrant ... and makes me sneeze? Introducing Windex Potpourri in the 22 ounce squirt bottle. Grab a tissue in case you start to sneeze in sympathy.
Description
Windex Potpourri is a cleaning liquid. Remember the traditional blue Windex cleaning fluid? For the last several years Windex has offered their cleaning formula in a variety of different colors, cleaning combinations and fragrances. The Potpourri scented liquid is a pink color, easily visible through the clear plastic bottle.
The fragrance is potent. It smells abundantly of flowers. Those with allergies beware. This scent drives my nose crazy!
The 22-ounce bottle comes with a spray attachment. Turn the yellow-tipped nozzle to open the passage the spray comes out of. Then aim the bottle and pull the squirt trigger with your finger.
Manufacturer Claims
This product is billed as a glass and surface cleaner. Across the label in bold print it says, “Streak-Free Shine”. This cleaner is supposed to clean dirt without streaking or filming. It is designed to use on glass, stainless steel, tile and chrome.
My Experiences
Even though the scent drives my nose insane ... this is an excellent cleaner. I’ve cleaned glass windows, and they are streak free and about the cleanest looking windows I’ve seen. This is a fabulous cleaning product. It does a wonderful job shining the chrome bathroom fixtures, too. Simply spray the liquid directly on the glass, or spray it onto a paper towel and clean.
My car windows are notorious for getting that light foggy haze on the inside glass. This cleaner cut through the fog with no problem. With the sun shining through the car windshield, I can’t see any streaks or smears. Unfortunately, the entire car reeks of that strong potpourri scent. Even airing the car doesn’t completely disperse the flowery fragrance.
I can’t use this cleaner inside the house ... or outside the house. Not only does the fragrance permeate the air ... but it also seeps into my skin. No matter what soap I use (even the strong Lava soap), the potpourri scent lingers. Maybe Windex should refine this scent and use it as long-lasting cologne.
It reached the point where I could not use the cleaner. Just a few squirts of the liquid was enough to induce sneezing and a runny nose. It’s a shame, too. Windex Potpourri is a great cleaning product. It cleaned my car windows better than anything I’ve ever used. On the bright side, my neighbor benefitted from my misfortune. She is happily using the remainder of the Windex Potpourri.
Active Ingredients
Windex Potpourri contains Ammonia D. If cleaner comes in contact with eyes, it can cause irritation. This product can also cause drying of the skin.

* Do not use or mix with other household cleaners

Purchasing
I had a coupon and was able to purchase Windex Potpourri at my local grocery store for about $2.50. Without the coupon, it cost just under $3.00 a bottle.
Summary
If the fragrance of Windex Potpourri wasn’t so strong, it would still be in my cabinet. It really does clean glass exceptionally well. So if you are allergy resistant and your nose is made of sturdy stuff, then give Windex Potpourri a try. You may just find a cleaner you love.
