This package available at exclusively at warehouse clubs by HP is everything you could need.
The 19 inch monitor is something we never thought we needed but it came with the package. And we're glad it did. You'll love using a 19" monitor and it's even better for watching those DVD's on the DVD-ROM. We just swivel the monitor around and watch from the couch.
The speakers are attached to the monitor and made by polk audio. They have incredible sound quality and have become our main sound system in the house. Mostly out of convenience but the sound quality makes us want to use them.
The DVD-Rom is great for watching the occasional movie. It's not home theatre DVD player quality by any means but that's not what we bought it for. For occasional use, it's all you need.
The CD-Writer works for copying programs, files, music, you name it. We've used it extensively and have had no problems.
The keyboard is comfortable and the mouse has the scroll button which makes web-browsing even easier. The front digital camera port provides convenience and ease for us when we need to unload our camera. We don't have to try and find things behind the computer... we all know how frightening that can be!
The computer comes with tons of software programs to get you started and with a good warranty. We never needed to use it and of course we aren't complaining. In fact, it's been expired for 6 months and we still haven't had any problems. We like that, how many times have you bought something and had it break right after the warranty was up? Ugh!
After a 1-1/2 years we still feel it's top of the line and we know we'll have a good 2 years left and then another year or so for our kids. We're looking into upgrading the graphics card but most computers only come with a standard graphics package.
As far as space goes we haven't even come close to using it all. We never worry about whether we have room to add a program or if we should take a few of those we're not using much off. There's no need there's lots of space. We have thought about upgrading the RAM too but that's only b/c it's become so cheap. This machine has 128 MB of RAM which really is plenty.
We can't complain, it's a great machine!
