I wanted a radio to use in the shower or during a bath. I found this one. It was inexpensive and I decided to try it out.
It comes in a variety of colors. I chose blue. Not a big selling point, but, hey, I like to color-coordinate.
It has a long string used to hang the radio. I didn't feel comfortable hanging it from the shower head or anything. Just didn't seem like the smartest idea. I tried using a suction cup with a hook, but couldn't get it to stay. However, I learned that you could drop this radio on a daily basis (or have it fall) and it survived well. I finally used a cup hook that I screwed into the wall where the wall starts and tile stops. I hung it from that at the back of the shower and it has stayed securely.
The radio had a tuning knob, volume knob, and am/fm setting. You turn on the power by turning the volume knob.
The volume goes up plenty high enough for me to hear it during showers or baths. However, the tuning doesn't pick up as many stations as our regular radios. This could be because of a lack of an antenna or it could just be the way the bathroom is. Either way, I get some of the radio stations, but not all of them. I can live with that, but it depends on what station you want to listen to.
I do find the knobs get slippery. They're made of hard plastic and when my hands are wet, it's hard to tune to a different station or change the volume. It's even harder to turn it on once your hands are wet since you have to turn it until it clicks on, which offers a bit of resistance. It might be nice if there were rubber coated knobs.
All in all, I like the radio. It was inexpensive and does exactly what I purchased it to do--play music in the shower.
